I returned from my trip last night and took some time to go through the forums today. Everyone has been busy! I will try and comment as time goes by.

This was the wettest trip I have had in Panama in years. It rained, hard everyday but two. Many days I went birding but did not take the camera and returned to the car soaked. I had a blast!!! I'm planning to go back when the rainy season ends next month or in February and just take pictures. However, I did manage to take several thousand photos. Many were too dark, a lot out of focus but some just right. I'll be going through them for some time and will post a few of the best or unusual. By the way, I did get a Toucan photo but the camera settings were wrong and I won't post it .

Canon 10D, 300mm f/2.8 with 2X converter and 550EX flash with flash extender. A flash is necessary as everything is under the canopy.
