No that's a lie on your part. I never claimed that I have or ever had gotten a degree in physics. I indicated that I had gotten through about 3 years towards one, changed my field of study and then got a degree in Biomedical Engineering.
Compared to your achievements in life as you worked for the phone company, I'm pretty comfortable in my scholastic as well as business achievements in life.

More recently in another thread that raised the question of his so-called engineering degree, he claimed to have no respect for people with degrees, stating that people with hands-on practical experience were superior to "book-learning engineers", or some such thing (I'm paraphrasing). Not that there is anything wrong with an associate's degree. A lot of good career opportunities. I am a huge fan of the community college/associates degree programs.
Of course it is insight into Richard's character that he claims a BME degree he does not have. For all the reasons you note above.
