Growth is expected in Q3 and Q4. Recent Q2 earnings reports have beat expectations and ignited the markets lately. Profitability has come from cost cutting, though. When companies are again profitable from revenues, then things will really pick up. This should then cut into unemployment - always the lagging indicator.
So, while difficult for the labor force still struggling, the recession may well be easing.

One needs to separate climatic drivers. While there are undoubtedly some who think that climate changes is only a result of human activities (definitely the fringe), most people know that there are natural processes that change climatic conditions. The early Holocene was warm because precessional high insolation. At the moment northern hemisphere receives relatively low insolation as perihelion occurs in during boreal winter. The mechanisms and time scales responsible for Holocene climate and 20th century climate are different. Just as there is no relevance talking about the Ordovician ice age, when CO2 was much higher but Gondwana was over the south pole, when debating the 20th century. Mechanisms and time scales are important. Dont confuse them. In doing so you reveal yourself to worthy of the idiot label with which you so easily brand others.
