Well, Floyd, there is a third option: buy the new 10" RC with a 3" focuser that just came out and that way you won't have to buy a new feathertouch or make anything yourself. Problem solved! grin

My First Image: M81

Actually, it's my first usable image since my initial attempt at the Rosette was a total failure. I'd thought I'd try a gratis offer for a remote telescope (a sky90) 600 second image from New Mexico and it seemed to work out fairly well but the Rosette image was out of focus and barely recognizable :S
