Jupiter 5/24 Lunch time with the GRS!!

Posted By Christopher Go

Here's an interesting image of Jupiter with the GRS consuming an STrB oval!! Look at the 9O'clock position of the GRS and you will notice a remnant of an oval. To the left of the GRS you can see 3-4 more ovals lining up for lunch!! Will be very exciting next few days for GRS watchers!!

More images later!

Jupiter 05/25 Perfect Night.

Posted By Christopher Go

Hello

Seeing was around 9/10 with 5/5 transparency! This is one of my best image this season. This is my first 7 straight days of imaging this season!!

Note the Oval BA and the light region to it's left. Note also the dark red barge on the SSTB. The EB is very interesting. Note the white oval features on the EB/NEB border at the CM! Also note the ovals on the EB/SEB border also at the CM. There also seem to be some feature on the SPR.

Chris

The GRS is very prominent at the CM. Note the white oval to the left and the right of the GRS. The NEB has some rifts. While the EB is filled with Festoons.

Jupiter 5/28 with Ganymede and Busy STB

Posted By Christopher Go

Hello

I took a break from imaging last night and had a date with my wife. Tonight I was joined by Tomio and John Nassr.

John was able to fix the C11 and I'll try to image with it tomorrow. The image I am posting now are done with the C8.
Seeing was around 9/10 with 4/5 transparency tonight! As a bonus, Ganymede was close to Jupiter. Note the surface details on Ganymede!

The STB/SSTB is very busy in this image. While the NEB has a lot of white spot and dark red spot activity! We were also able to image Jupiter in IR800!

Jupiter 05/30 Oval BA interactions

Posted By Christopher Go

Seeing was around 7/10 with 3/5 transparency.

Note the enlarged light area to the right of the Oval BA. If you look closely on the Oval BA, you will see 3 STB white ovals around the left side of the Oval BA.
There are hints of rifts on the NEB but these aren't resolved in this image. The bright spot on the NEB is Io.
