Supernatural

Since "intelligent design" is in the news and religion is an issue politically..and since believing in God..Jesus's miracles..and intelligent design..requires a belief in the "supernatural"...I'm wondering who and how/why my fellow political posters feel about "supernatural power"? I believe this is the defining point re: "intelligent design" being science or not. To me, it is logically obvious that it is not.

Bushs' "We do not torture", screams the Yahoo headlines...
However:
If we capture "suspects" and purposely hand them over to countries that "do" torture - is this not equivalent to committing torture ourselves, or similar to "aiding and abetting" - the act of torture? 8O
The Nazi's used surrogates for some of their criminal activity (as well) but that did not excuse them from their ultimate responsibility.

Washington Mutual bank

:C I deposited 23,000 $ into a new account @ Washington Mutual..checking and savings. Cashiers checks..bank to bank..(Wells Fargo). I was told by the bank that $4,999 would be available immediately and the rest in seven days. After depositing an additional $1,500 I was told $100 would be available immediately. Instead..ahem..they held all funds for 14 days, until the 28th of December this year. And when I wrote a check against the funds on the 27th for less then the $4,999..they returned it and charged my account a $23 insufficient funds fee.
I was planning on moving my existing Union Bank of California account to Washington Mutual..you can imagine how I feel at this point. IMO - this is stealing money. >sad

Has anyone else had a similar experience with this particular "institution"?..when I spoke to my parents about this..they said they had had a similar experience.

I plan to file a complaint and write a letter to the local paper as well.

Thanks for any input...

It's a wonder enough IMO that they would choose an appropriations chair for DeLay, but a chair with the justice dept oversight subcommittee?
Is this logical, someone who has been reprimanded for senate misconduct, who is under a grand jury investigation, who has ties to a lobbyist who has confessed to some wrongdoing. This is an improvement over Cunningham?
