m65 & M66

Well here's last nights work. The image was taken TV NP-127is, Losmandy G11 Gemini mount, and a starlight xpress Mx-716 camera. They are a stack of 40, 30sec. exp's, Processed in AIP4WIN & Photoshop CS2. The image is of two galaxies in the constellation Leo the galaxy on the left is M66 and the galaxy on the right is M65.

NGC2903

M101 I had a problem processing this one for some reason, Don't know why but I think the image is ok :-

M109 and overs 100 others galaxies

Here's a shot of M109 when I started processing the image I started to see lots of faint fuzzy's in the backround so I pulled up the sky6 and started counting the sky6 only had about 1/4 of them. I stopped counting @ 100

NGC-5350

Hi All, Here is an image from Sunday. NGC-5350 sits between Alkaid & Arcturus and is about a Mag 12.4. The image was shot with and Orion 80MM ED S.X. Mx-716 on and Orion Atlas EQ-G. I hope for a stack of 10, 10 min. exp. but my guiding went to pot when I was in the house so I only got 2 10min exp. So I stacked them and did a little processing in AIP4WIN and a quick run in PS-CS2.

My tree house Observatory 1 of 4

Hi All, here are some photo's from my observatory project. I'm building it on a tree house platform I built for my kid about 8 years ago. I knocked down the old walls and roof and reinforced the deck with 2 double 2 x 8's. The new walls and roof will be going up soon. I mounted my Atlas EQ-G for the time being but a G11 with Gemini will be going in as soon as I get it( Alan? ).
