Image of the day

Hi, A friend of mine has a LXD650 mount that the computer has stopped working. There is a brief faint light that shows that the power is on then nothing after that. Does anyone know of anyone who services these or help me point him in the right direction of information about the computer and what might be wrong with it.

Taken 2 days after opposition with my C11 SCT using EP projection with a 16.8mm ortho and a unmodified Canon XTi. Exposure was 5 seconds at 200asa...and small amount of curves applied in PS7. Mount was a CG11 and the shot was unguided.

Same specs as Uranus image except exp was 1/3 sec and probably over processed. I don't look or shoot the planets very much...enjoy anyway.

Seeing seemed good so this is about what I can expect from a DSLR. Seemed better in the EP...enjoy anyway!

Same setup as before but I managed a 10 second exposure which gave more to work with.

Hi, Last night the seeing was pretty good but it was still hard to get a round disk. This is a 20 second exposure at 400 ASA using the same setup as the Uranus shot. If you thought Uranus was boring then this will make up for it :-)
