Pentax 80 ED + Maxview 40Posted By Chris Nardone |
I am psyched. I received my Scopetronix Maxview 40 Pentax. It's a Maxview 40 made specially to work with the Pentax spotting scope. I also got an adapter to fit my Sony digital camera. What I didn't realize is my Canon 10D also fits it! The Maxview 40 Pentax comes with a standard t thread size male screw mount. the adapter for the digital camera fits to that. The other bonus is the eyepiece itself. It is beautiful. It's a 40mm 1 1/4" eyepiece, well made and very sharp. I highly recommend it!
The attached photo is "first light" of a bird in my backyard. I don't have my Bogen tripod yet so the cheap tripod I used was very shakey. Still I am very excited about the results.

I guess you could call this a portrait shot. Way closer than I care for, but I'm experimenting with the new setup.

Pentax 80 - maxview 40 - Sony DSC-S85. Actually got too much zoom this time. I would have preferred a little more field of view.

Haven't seen one of these in a while. I forgot how much color they have.
