My wife and I saw Super8 today. Basically, an abused alien has had enough of ignorant earthlings and wants to get out of Dodge. The kids in a pre '80s town oblige. It was a decent enough movie, and judging by previews of upcoming summer movies, probably one of the better ones...

I liked it as well. And yes, basically Steven Spielberg remade his ET story line only with the alien being not so cute and friendly. Would be kind of cool at some point to watch them both back-to-back.

As for upcoming movies, the trailers they showed of the Rise of the Rise of Planet of Apes ( looked quite interesting...actually a little disturbing (in a good was since a movie).

I saw it too. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's taken over the top train crash spot from The Fugitive.
