Does anyone know what the exact distance to the focal plane on this camera is? Also, is the Rebel XT body parfocal with any of Canon's film camera bodies?

Thanks!

I don't know the exact distance from the front of the mount to the film (chip?) plane. But isn't it the same as the film cameras? I mean, it is a Digital Rebel, right? And the whole idea is that it uses the whole EOS system of lenses.

I know on my 20 D, I can use any of my EOS lenses with full compatibility in metering, focusing, zoom info, whatever.

It should be noted that the lenses designed for the digital camera do not work on the film cameras. But the film lenses work on the digital.

At least that is true for my 20D.
