M31 - First Light

This was my first light image with new Losmandy G-11 mount and new Orion 80ED.

It was taken at the Chiefland Star Party, after working on getting mount up and running all week, Saturday night before we left Sunday, I was finally able to run mount and have it work properly! So of course, a member of our group told me to grab my camera.

No darks or flats, 4 single images at approximately 1 1/2 to 2 minutes each, unguided.

Then I had to learn how to process..... I think that part is harder than getting the picture! :S

Very nice Christine. Share more of your images with us when you can. Are you using a 20D? That G11 is a great mount. Your right about the processing. It's harder than getting the images

Good shot, continue. It takes some time to get satisfying results.
