Stumped by ToUcam software

Greetings,
After loading my Philips ToUcam pro software, I am not able to capture video. I go to "Vrecord", then "Capture", then "Start Capture", and I get a blank screen, and a message that says, "Filter cannot report capture information."

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing incorrectly, or what setting I must change? Thanks!

Hi Steve, as a matter of interest what operating system are you using? I loaded up the toucam on my laptop with no probs whatsoever under winXP. It wasn't until a while later that I tried it out on my desktop which had win98 that I found I couldn't get it to work at all. I know it works fine under win98 as a great many use it but I tried everything, believe me. In the end I upgraded to XP and it fired up with no problems.

Hold on a second Steve, before you go upgrading, there should be drivers available for Windows 98. Try this website or search the net before giving in.

Best of luck

Steve, The link that Derrick gave is the one I used
and I am running 98 on a Toshiba 335cds Satellite at
233mhz.....

Works great, but lacks in hard drive space, only 4 mg.

I don't like the Philips software for capturing but
us it with either AstroVidio or K3CCD both of which
look at the Philips drivers.

Hope that helps, Preston

Try disabling the video card hardware accelerator option in Win 98. The instructions for doing so are found in the Toucam on line manual.
