Hi,

I had a chance to try image Mars again, this time I also tried Sirius Optics' newest filter called "Mars filter".

With the addition of the new filter, I don't have to use "FL" for white balance setting to acquire a red looking Mars. I simply leave it to Auto.

I think the purpose of this filter is for visual use only, but hey, it works for imaging too smile.

Jeff

I guess Mars rotates about the same amount of time that we do. I took this image about 2 days before your shot. The features look about the same. My image is best viewed from across the streetsmile
