this is my first astrophoto attempt besides a few pictures of the moon so please go easy on me. this was taken on 3/4 with a canon 300d with an adapter for using olympus lens. i used a zuiko 135mm f2.8 at f4 51sec exposure on gm-8 roughly polar aligned (my first attempt at polar alignment) modified somewhat in photoshop with auto levels, curves, and contrast (i don't know alot about photoshop). if someone can help me with the corners where there is trailing. is it related to the poor polar alignment vs lens adapter vs the lens. anyway i had never seen any astrophotos with the zuiko lens on the canon body so i thought i would show what i got so far any comments are welcome. thanks dan

Dan,

Tell me about this adapter. What is it? Where did you get it? How does it work?

ivan and craig thanks for your encouragement!
alex, i have put a picture of the adapter. basically it is a machined metal adapter that you attach to the camera and then you can put any om style lens on. the olympus lens have enough backfocus to allow you to get to infinity at least with the lens i have tried so far. i have a few om lens so it made sense for me to give it a shot. i purchased it from a guy in hong kong. if you want you can email me and i can give you more info.
thanks again guys, dan
