Hi all, I know we've all seen this a thousand times but... Seeing was great last night, but transparency was poor. First time trying 30 minute subs. NP-101; G-11; SBIG ST-2000XCM (7 x 30 minute subs). Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Great Job Jeff! It looks like ALL of your gear did the job. 30 Minute subs are a tough nut to crack, you did well! Great processing job also.

Nice image Jeff! I am working on a version of this myself right now. I had to add 15x20 minutes of just Ha to get the red in M82 to show up reasonably well. That area is pretty dim and takes a lot of time to capture.

Hi Jeff,

Whoa! 30 minute subs, what made you decide to go that long,do you have very dark skies?
It looks very good and you picked up some good resolution but I am suprised there is not more color in there.
Have you tried boosting the saturation up during processing?
You may also want to look and make sure you did not clip the white and black points.

Good work,

Jason
