Here's another one.

The Jewel Box is a fabulous sight at a dark sky site with binos. The stars are not only different colours but different distances making a very 3D effect.

4 x 20 seconds, my backyard in Sydney, Nexstar 11 GPS, Nikon D70 at F5.

Quite the nice shot Greg! I have the same setup. Mine is on a wedge now and I use mostly SBIG stuff (can see it here: http://web.tampabay.rr.com/jsuro/observatory.htm ). I would love to spend more time with the D70 but my weather has been so bad lately I use the SBIG for every little chance I do get.

Very nice picture Greg! Since I had no images of mine to work on, I tried a nice new feature of Iris, the Akira Fujii effect.

I attached the result of a first experiment with this feature: what do you think?
