Hyperstar for my C8

I have a C8 with XLT coatings that I bought in May 2007. I want to do Deep sky work and I am very intrigued by the Hyperstar, taking my F/10 down to a F/2!
Does anyone use the Hyperstar with a C8? Do I need to have a Fastar C8 OTA to use Hyperstar?

Starzonia makes an adapter to convert non hyperstar units to Fastar. You should check them out.

That's a nice c8 you have in the classifieds. I have one of that vintage as well and condition. Optics are some of the best I've had in a c8. Only paid 300 for it 2 years ago too. I use it as my quick grab scope and for outreach. My 9.25 has hyperstar, and I will begin to experiment with it soon too.
