I've heard at least one fundie on this forum state that salvation is not dependent on good works, but solely on a love of God. While one could say that good works would flow from the latter, it seems to me that to state that salvation is "not dependent" on good works means that a lack of good works isn't going to disqualify you (I should think it would). Why bother with the first half of the original statement?
As a non-believer, I don't really have a dog in this fight, but I'd like to see the believers toss it around.
