My Earned Right To Protest!

President Bush wants a nation of SHEEP.
WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
To be brutally honest, I'm getting really sick of the violent video game, WWF, kick ass, Hollywood movie, throwaway American society, that produces "Shock and Awe" on the rest of the world. President Bush's deaf ears and cold heart will bring on the wrath of the clear thinking people of the world, and in this country.
Remember Lennon's "Instant Karma"!
P.S. I'm not leaving.

All we are saying - is kick Saddam's a*s
All we are saying - is give real peace a chance

Where were you when he was torturing his people, summaraily executing dissenters, denying UN food to the children?

Why are you silent about the atrocities of human rights in China and North Korea and Somalia and Rowanda?

Gee- a nation of sheep - barely 50% of the electorate voted for him, yet 70% support his action in Iraq - including over 35% of liberal democrats - . Souns like peole making up their own minds. As for the video games - blame CNN - they started it in the war to liberate Kuwait.

You are obviously envious of the U.S. and the freedoms that include allowing hundreds of thousands to protest freely. Try doing that in Iraq or China.

Don't go away - we want to pick on you and kick your a*s

i'm going out on a limb here, but...

i'm inclined to agree with Thomas on the emotional side, and i get thoroughly disgusted by the policies and diplomatic blunders made by this country. When i'm particularly p.o.'ed, i may be shouting along with him...

But this avails nothing. The majority of folks who agree with this action will not be swayed.. they've been led to this position by careful orchestration for years. i'll allow that those who did the persuasion did a damned fine job, and ol' Sadaam helped by playing right along.

The events that led up to this war read like a litany of how not to conduct foreign policy. This has been a disaster in the making for a long, long time, and we can play all kinds of drop-the-soap blame games as to which administration is the most guilty (really tough call, going 'way back!), but there's almost no point to that except to do our damnedest to keep it from happening again.

The only thing we can do now is hope (and pray, if you're so inclined,) that it's over and we're outta there as soon as possible, that we aren't in this quagmire long enough to REALLY galvanise the Islamic World against the West. If and When they get their act together against us, 9/11 may look like a church picnic here and abroad, Sadaam or no Sadaam.

Frankly, i don't have any hope that this can be avoided.

Maybe we'll unelect this administration next time out (i doubt it, but i'm going to work for it,) but there's a lot of bleating going on out there, and i haven't seen any viable Loyal Opposition (a dire necessity for a true democracy, BTW,) worth backing.

Don't read this as support for Sadaam... i'd off that bugger in a heartbeat if i were given an opportunity... but recall please that he was Our Boy once upon a time... the entire Arab world remembers that, and their memory is very very long.

Don't read this as not supporting our troops... that's a favourite attack thrown at the antiwar movement and a bugbear...
i do not support this war, nor do i support those on either side that made it happen... i support our troops the best way i know how -by praying that we get them home where they belong as soon as possible, and also that we not put them in harm's way needlessly ever again.
