Longer Term.

I wish they would make the presidency an 8-year term, and out. That would make sure that whoever was in would get the chance to bring their policies to fruition without having to hedge against a 4 year election.

And Bush bashers don't start whining about how you couldn't live 8 years under Bush. I made it through 8 years of Clinton so anything is possible.

But, Republican or Democrat an 8 year no re-election would remove more politics out of the presidency.

Daryl, Clinton was ELECTED twice, and he didn't need help from the Supreme Ct. either.
Forget the 8 year term; let the voters decide whether Bush stays or goes. We need
a little check and balance in the system, and given the makeup of the legislature
and the Supreme Ct., the only check on THIS administration will be the voters.
Enough damage can be done in 4 years anyway, that much is obvious.

You’re probably tree huggers, and gay rights activists, and I'm sure you are members in good standing with PETA. You want the government to make all your decisions for you, you want to be taxed to the hilt, and you think the way to Utopia is paved with tofu, mineral water, and jogging.

When I start to see some sensible posts on here, where people think with their heads and not with their misguided emotions I might return. I've tried to be civil on this forum but the whiners are too much for old man like me to put up with. This was a great country and you are doing your best to destroy it by turning it into a “politically correct nation of people with no common sense”.
