I would like to offer this link to a column that Dennis Prager wrote in Aug, 2008, entitled: "If there is No God" http://www.dennisprager.com/columns.aspx?g=bb982001-00d9-408b-ab4e-1fd64af5ec96&url=if_there_is_no_god

I find the most interesting thing about Dennis Prager's column is that he explains all the reasons he "needs" God in order to behave in an ethical and moral manner. He simply says that GOD is a crutch he (Dennis) needs (and he believes that others need) in order to exist, the find purpose in life, to act in a humane way.
Humanists and others point out that this crutch is not necessary, true ethical and moral behavior is not based on a belief in some supernatural being who will provide a reward for "doing the right thing. Rather, rather it is based on an individual's character, integrity, and ones willingness to step back from one's own needs and treat one's neighbors as one would wish to be treated.
