Thank you for answering. I personally find that 'study' complete hogwash in its conclusion. People that do not place a priority in insuring themselves are also people that do not take responsibility in their own health care. For a study to estimate 4 times as many deaths as any previous study has before makes it suspect.

Yes, and that "estimate" is by a pro "govt. run" universal health care group. There is just a bunch of keywords spun to make it sound like people are dying. If you actually read the whole article, you'll see that it is all guesswork, and no actual facts. They say "linked to" as if it were the cause. Just as a passenger in a car might be drunk, but they say "alcohol was involved" just for stats to push an agenda.

I agree this country was not founded on greed. But put your ideology aside long enough to see how much money the government has thrown at the so called unfortunate. It does not help it only makes them more dependent.I know, I see it every day all around me.The media is waging a psycological war on any one that is not mentally strong enough to resist it.Just look what's happening to the youth. That's the war that needs to end.Just remember this:If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day.If you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime. The successful people in this country contribute enough. It's just not being used properly.

Nope,
the data are from cdc, but the study ,thus the estimate, has been done by Harvard medical school based on that data.
For your info : (Harvard) "assessed death rates after taking into account education, income, and many other factors, including smoking, drinking, and obesity. It estimated that lack of health insurance causes 44,789 excess deaths annually."

Let me try once more to get you to answer *my* question, since I answered yours.
Where's the limit to how much taxes we should pay? I already pay over half my income in taxes. I presume that you'll grant that the limit should be less than 100%. Can you narrow down the range a little more? How much is enough?

You are doing enough already.Terry Friedrichsen said:

Unfortunately not everybody is, the Keynesian theory has been put into practice and the only thing that has produced is a huge speculative bubble
and no infrastructure and services.

The conclusion that it was lack of health insurance that caused these 'excess deaths' is what is pure fantasy. Most that read this board have a degree or four and can tell the difference between BS science and real studies. The basic idea of your original premiss "Health Insurance is immoral" is a childish position or maybe just a shill for Obama.
