What a departure from the idiocy of Bush and Cheney.
Could it be that science is returning to policy decisions? Go Obama.

Outlining his energy priorities, he said the country would not be held "hostage to dwindling resources, hostile regimes, and a warming planet".

Sounds like he's living in a fantasy world to me. sad

There is nothing tangible or new here. The Obama administration is against Coal, Nuclear Power and tapping domestic petroleum reserves to bridge the gap between current foreign dependence and alternatives. It will take decades to develop and deploy a viable energy architecture that is non-petroleum based - in the interim mitigation is needed to offset the impact (via the use of readily available technology to include Nuclear and domestic energy resources).

Conservation and proper inflation of tires will not do it.

Obama's insistence on not exploiting Nuclear and domestic carbon reserves will impose even greater economic suffering on America and is yet another risky gamble by the current administration with our national security.
