Biden is such a gem. He ranks right up there with Dan Quayle for tact and brilliance. Did you see how just a couple weeks after Obama tried to buddy up with Putin, Biden stuck his foot in his mouth AGAIN?

An interview U.S. Vice President Joe Biden gave to an American newspaper was front-page news Monday in Moscow, where his characterization of Russia as a weakened nation hit a raw nerve.

Biden's comments appeared to catch the Kremlin by surprise, coming less than three weeks after President Barack Obama said on a visit to Moscow that the U.S. wants to see a "strong, peaceful and prosperous Russia."

I believe that Biden was a big proponent of intervening against Russia's Serb allies. I think that was a big turning point for US-Russian relations.

In 1988 Biden had emergency brain surgeries to repair intracranial aneurysms.

I know a bright and brave Vietnam era helicopter pilot who became a preacher later in life. Then he had a minor stroke and had to quit the pastor gig. He still has good sense, but the stroke affected a part of the brain which censors what one says. Honestly saying everything you think can turn out badly when delivering sermons. This problem does not mean that the fellow is a bad person. There are just certain gigs incompatible with unfailingly complete honesty .

Dunno. Reckon the brain surgeries give Biden a valid excuse? Though if painful honesty is incompatible with preaching, maybe it is also incompatible with vice-president?
