Beer Summit

So Obama got his pictures and no sound bites. But why was Biden there? This had been billed by the White House as "This is three folks having a drink at the end of the day." Can't they count or what? Obama has still not apologized so IMO I hope this story is kept alive for a little longer. I would hope that the teachable moment is for him to keep his nose out of things until he actually has some facts.

Let the official record show that it was 86-degrees at 6 p.m. EST in Washington, D.C. The president and veep were wearing shirts and the professor and police officer were wearing their best suits.

Also, let the official record show that being outside in a suit in the humidity of Washington, D.C., is an experience so miserable that it has probably been contemplated as an interrogation technique. While humidity was 53% resulting in a "Realfeel" temperature of 86, I still think the beer summit must have been a miserable experience. I noticed that only Obama and Biden were smiling.

I can only hope that the teachable moment here is that all Americans (black, white, or purple) can agree that it is too damn hot to get called to the White House to talk to the president for something this stupid.
