Very Impatient Seller

Forgive the rant here, but just need to let off a little steam. I answered an ad on AM for some binoviewers yesterday. The fellow replies the next morning at 6:30 AM saying they're mine if I can pay by 1pm. He sends another email at 9:30 asking me if I'm interested still...then at 9:50 sends another email telling me he sold them to someone else since I didn't reply. At 10 I check my email and see all these messages. Am I mistaken in assuming that it's common courtesy to assume that people don't always check their email every hour (let alone at 6:30 in the morning!).

Rather peeved with that particular seller...

I would say that whoever bought it out from under you did you a big favor. This person would be a real P.I.T.A to deal with! In answer to your question, though....it was indeed quite unreasonable and very rude behavior on the seller's part.

Rude people suck, and there are some here. Dont let it bother you too much.

Looks like he had several responses to his ad. Was you response firm and committal?
Maybe he had a lot of stuff to do that day and was unable to check emails later. Who knows?

If you reply to an ad right before going to sleep or work, let the seller know that you wont be able to check emails until a specified time. If its something you really want send your phone#.

Save up for a nicer BV'er like a Denk or Televue. The seller really did you a favor.
