Here is an interesting story. Apple employees in Georgia are under fire for not selling iPads to Farsi speaking people of Iranian descent out of fear that they would end up in Iran against state department regulations.

Personally, I wouldn't want to sell technology to Iranians either. This is the same kind of crap that got my local gun shop in trouble with Michael Bloomberg. African-Americans come into the store and an African-American man will help an African-American woman select a firearm for her personal protection. It's highly likely that the African-American man has a criminal record and the woman is a straw purchaser in violation of federal firearms law. If the clerk makes that assumption, then he's a racist. If the clerk makes the sale, he finds out that the purchasers are New York City cops working for Michael Bloomberg.
I think I'd make the sale, collect name and address information, and then call the FBI or ATF and report the people as possible foreign agents or straw purchasers. If they think being denied an iPad or firearm is bad, wait til the federal government blows their doors off their hinges in the middle of the night. Personally, I think a merchant should always have the right to deny a sale to a customer no matter what.

I have several telescopes, but none are semi-APO, APO, or in anyway valuable.
