I see William Maher gave Mr. BO $1,000,000 for his reelection and this is the same guy that called Ms Palin a c--- on national television and that is just one of his verbal attacks on women.

I guess it is okay because he is a liberal and she is a conservative? Is that the way it works?

OK Herb, I'll bite on this. Firstly, I'm sure my opinion is not at all typical, I've been an ACLU member for many years. Personally, I have no problem with what either of them said. They were both offensive, but that's what we get under the 1st Amendment. The difference is, Maher is primarily a comedian who makes political statements. Rush is primarily a political commentator who tries to be funny. BTW, Maher was kicked off of ABC for offending too many advertisers, which is why he's on HBO. Yes, there is a lot of hypocrisy in politics. I get into arguments with "pseudo liberals" often, they are the people who think it's OK to say anything you want as long as you don't offend them. I'm not sure I'd put my advertising dollars on either of them, but they both have the right to say anything they want and donate to whatever politician they care to.

1. No. It was totally unacceptable and I haven't watched Bill Maher in years.
2. I don't think he has the same amount of influence as Rush.
3. Democrats don't generally claim to have higher standards of personal morality in the political sphere.
4. I'm sure everyone who is a parent or has had a parent has heard phrases like -
- Just because everyone else does it doesn't mean you should do it.
- Two wrongs don't make a right.
- We raised you better than that.
5. It doesn't matter what comedians or rappers say about women. They don't represent the cause of conservatism.

I have several telescopes, but none are semi-APO, APO, or in anyway valuable.

No. Who ever said that was ok?
