Okie-Tex - ESSP - Southern Utah???

I'm planning to be in the Albuquerque area the last two weeks of September. If time permits, I might stop by Okie-Tex on the way out. Would love to make ESSP again, if only for a day or two. High priority is the Four Corners area and southern Utah. Looking for specific information on astro-friendly campgrounds in the SE Utah area. Not dedicated to organized star parties (which are fun), but needing more options to increase my clear sky chances on this cross-country trip. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

Jeff, I don't know about campgrounds, per se, but I had some excellent observing at the North Rim of the canyon. Cape Royal. Also in Arches and Capitol Reef. SW Colorado was good too, near Pagosa Springs.
But I still want to set up in, or overlooking, Monument Valley someday.
