Is anybody else revving up for the TSP

This will be my third TSP, and it is becoming an astronomy tradition for me! My friend Terry and I will leave from Indy early Friday morning with our van load of scope stuff! Hopefully will be swimming at Balmorhea on Saturday evening prior to checking into our motel in Fort Davis. I am counting on a long clear week like last year. Last year we laughed off the rain on Thursday night and got some sleep!!!! Clear skies see you there.

but I have a lot of equipment tweaking to do and time is running out 8O

This will be my 15th trip to the Ranch. Am leaving Thursday morn from S. Bend, Indiana and plan to stay Saturday night in the DMSP.

Gas could be $4 a gallon and I would still not miss this yearly trek to those dark skies. Piss on OPEC!

if you have not heard, they plan on having the wireless internet access up and running this year. Not like last year where it was a hit or miss and didnt work.

each observing field will have its own wireless "access point" and "key" also there will be hard lines (cat5 cable) at the lodge if you dont have wireless capability

and it will be free. Limited transfer rates will apply and they will ban you if you start too many large file up or downloads.

My friend Ray and I will be leaving on Friday AM early. It's a LONG drive from Orlando!!
We will be staying all week and sure hope the weather cooperates. This will be our first TSP. Look forward to seeing all the A'marters there!
