Hello Mark. I just returned home last night, having spent the week following GCSP in Utah. I had a great time, spending the first half on the South Rim, and the second on the North. Transparency was excellent most of the week, with a spattering of clouds on a couple nights. Seeing was mostly average, but periods of excellence revealed outstanding detail on Jupiter. We had to contend with an "early"-rising last-quarter moon the first few days, but that became less of a problem with each passing night. Temperatures were milder than I had expected (low 60's), and my cold-weather clothes got very little use. All-in-all, it was a great event on both rims, and I'd like to thank the organizers. Hope you can make it next year! Linton
