Refractor for Solar Observation

I want a decent used refractor for white light and h-alpha solar observation. I don't need anything special, I'm just wondering what the best aperture and f/ratio would be? I like the idea of a 80-100mm @ f/10-15 that I could use for double stars and planets at night but maybe a widefield would be better like a 60-70mm f/5-8. Any thoughts?

A high f/ratio is more desirable for most H-alpha filters. Given that you also want to use the scope for binary star and planetary observation a 100 to 102mm f/11 or f/12 achromat would be your best choice.
