Hey guys,

Last night was decent seeing for my location in Raleigh, NC. (next to a Target..nice light pollution)I recently purchased a drive and a camera mount for my scope. First night out with them. Did not use the camera mount for this one though. Here is my new shot of mars...17 images stacked

Jeff, considering your modest & humble telescope (Newtonian, yes?), that's an excellent image! North Polar blue haze, SPC, Hellas, Argyre -- lots of info there. Was this around 2:30am local time?

Dare I ask: can you give us a little more info about the mount itself? -Got a hunch that I'm going to be even more impressed after you tell us.

Thanks for sharing!
Cheers & best wishes.
-Dan

Very nice Mars photo, the features roughly look like the ones in my sketch from the morning of the 18th,at what time was your photo taken?
