How about a strip sketch?

Would anybody like to try a strip sketch of a Jovian equatorial belt (with or without the red spot) under good conditions?

I bet the detail would be very nice with some of the scopes used here. I would offer up my own effort but after 2 months (really) of cloud cover at my locale I don't know when I'll get a chance. It really has been a dismal last two months...oh well, sigh, etc..

Wow! That´s a nice idea!!! But you refer to SEB, isn´t it? smile So, I will try to skecth that SEB with more details and I hope I can compare with your sketches.
I have a dob 8" f/6 that is fairly to planetary observing. If I had a f/12, at least, it will be well better. I spotted, more once time, Jupiter on Mewlon 250 Takahashi and it was delirious. A fantastic image, one of the best I saw! So much details that I cannot spot on my dob 8".

I was planning to do one of Mars over several days/weeks when it gets close.
