Hello,
I have acquired a Televue Pronto telescope, and I like know the best magnification and eyepiece type with this telescope for to see the Veil and N.America nebulas. Are best to use a filter narrower UHC or OIII?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

I recommend going to the darkest observing site possible, using the lowest power eyepiece with an OIII filter, and patience. Both of these should be visible in your scope.

Good luck!

The Veil Nebula does show some detail at higher magnifications, say 100X and greater. N. American nebula not so much detail. OIII filter is good for both.
