It might not be quite the same scale as Lovejoy has been for the southern hemisphere, but comet 2009p1 Garradd is putting on a nice show in the early morning now.
Observing it this morning at around 6.30, it was easily visible in binoculars and showed a short, faint tail in the telescope. Total magnitude was around 6.5. The image below was taken with my 5" Apogee refractor and STL-1001E CCD. Combination of 5, 3 minute subframes with red, green and blue filters.
