i currently have a 10 lightbridge. i had an orion 8 and and orion intel 10 first.
i have noticed a small difference between the 8 and the 2 10's i have owned. mostly in some contrast and brightness
would a 12 or even a 16 give me an even better image or am i up against not having dark enough skies and maybe even some seeing issues, turbulence, etc.
i am located in a new york suburb.
i have only had my 10 lightbridge for a short time so i can return it for a full store credit and get a 12 or maybe 16 or keep whay i have.???

If you go from an 10" to a 16" scope, you are going to gain about one order of magnitude. Unless you are willing to travel to darker skies, the 16" is still going to leave you wanting. Even if you have mag +4 skies, the effect of the 16" will only make it as if you had mag +5 skies with the 10". But, mag +5 skies will only take you so far. First, I would find out what your 10" will do at a darker site. Then consider what the 16" will do for you based on that information. You need more information/experience with your current scope before making that plunge.

On the other hand, if you can trade up, this may be the time before your option runs out. But, don't expect miracles with your 16" from your light polluted back yard. Get thee to a dark site!
