I have been researching focusers. I note that some come with motors, and some can be upgraded with a motor. Why would you want a motorized focuser?

Motorized focusers practicaly eliminate the jitters when focusing an image, especially usful for astrophotography. What type of telescope do you use? sometimes you can retrofit a servo from a radio controlled car to turn the focus knob of an existing focuser to see the benifit before you spend lots of dough.I have an older Celestron C8 that came with a declination motor when I bought it used. The dec motor will actually fit the focuser shaft on the C8 tube allowing me to have motofocus via my hand controller. I just had to fashion a simple bracket to keep the motor engaged. Once you try it (motorised focus) you will find observing alot more satisfying.
