Hi,

I have seen advertisements for "equatorial platforms for your dob". Since I live at 43 degrees, wouldn’t this mean that the ground board of my dob would be tilted at 43 degrees? How does that work?

No, it only means that some bits of wood and some
rollers in the EQ platform might be at 43 degrees.
Your dob ground board just sits on the EQ platform
horizontally, and the EQ platform takes care of the rest.
