If a barlow lense doubles the magnification of an EP, does it reduce the true field of view of the EP by 50% or is the true field of view not effected?

Thanks.........Mike

A 20mm plossl with a 2x barlow will yield approximately the same sized piece of sky as a 10mm plossl.

But it will do so with the comfort of a larger eye lense, longer eye relief and better edge of field (less astigmatism) in fast focal ratios.
