Baader Contrast Filter

After reading the reviews, I've been saving the money to buy one of these. Today I was checking prices on our sponsors website and I found this statement:
"The ultimate contrast filter for all refractive optical systems."
Since I have a DOB, will this filter do anything? My conditions are: mildly light polluted skiess, 10" DOB.

Darryl,
I use mine on a short tube 80, an 8" dob, and a 14" dob. Soon after I got it, I sold all my color filters. The best for planets, and adds contrast to Lunar maria/highlands, and ray systems.

I've found it works best on DSO, actually really well in my 6" refractor. Tried it on Luna and Mars and didn't see noteworthy difference.

Darryl,
I bought one before the last Mars opposition and found that it did indeed improve the view of Mars, but not that of Jupiter. I was using an 8" dob.
