Hi Folks
I purchased a Unistar Basic (older Model) here on Astromart with the dovetail that has four tapped 1/4"-20 screws holes in it. I'm trying to figure out the best way to attach my C-102 refractor and C-8 SCT to the dovetail. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know I don't want to start spending lots of money on a saddle & mounting plates that won't work well. wink
Thanks

I am not familiar with the C-8 never having owned one, but I had a refractor on an early Unistar. My holes were not threaded, so I could simply remove the dovetail from the rings and bolt through the plate into the rings.

If your configuration is different, I have used a good hardwood like Maple to make adapters to mate scopes and mounts to good effect. Much easier than working metal and very hard and strong
