Hi, asked this in Equipment but maybe more approp here since more people here have worked with the stuff. Any suggestions on repairing small holes such as screw and bolt holes in a sonotube scope?

Thanks,
Matt

Matt, I would think that simply mixing fine sawdust with Titebond II (waterproof) carpenter's wood glue would do the trick and would be very inexpensive. Certainly not dangerous to work with, either.

Here is my 2 cents. If the sonotube is old looking, and easy way to patch up holes is take a small piece of black velcro and stick it over the hole (either inside or out). It works great and it's cheap and fast. It just doesn't look pretty! But on black sonotube in the dark, who'll really notice!
