I wonder if anyone had adapted a 8-12 MegaPixel Point & Shhot camera or a Board level CCD to a Schmidt Camera? i have an 8" camera.

Sounds like a very interesting project.

Is there field curvature at the image plane ?

I haven't heard of anyone doing this but I have been thinking of trying out the same with my schmidt camera.
This will require a field flattener though. Maybe it could work with a flat/concave lens. Anyone knows?
