Adding Digital Setting Circles

Hi,
I am interested in adding digital setting circles to my Obsession style 12.5 f/5 scope.

Has anyone tried using an Incremental Inclinometer such as this http://www.usdigital.com/products/t2/ in place of a incremental rotary shaft encoder.

It seems that using the inclinometer would greatly simplify the installation by allowing you to simply mount the unit to the inside of the mirror box.

Since I am just starting to learn about all this DSC stuff, can you recommend some different handheld database/readout units that would work with the encoders I am considering?

Thanks,
Glenn

Michelle Stone and Albert Highe experimented with an inclinometer on my Highe-design Plettstone scope because it would better suit the elegant design of the scope. However, they abandoned the idea for a number of reasons. You can contact Michelle through her web site if you want details on why it was abandoned.
