Hi I have a chance to buy a new Takahashi FS 152mm from a company in Spain. Would this be on the up and up,when was the last FS 152 made? Thanks Lawrence

The FS 152 is a fine scope, but whay are you buying one from Spain? They haven't been made for a few years now. Sounds suspicious.

Ask them for the serial number. The first two numbers of the will tell you what year the scope was made by Tahahashi. This scope could possibly be "new old stock" but the 152 has not been produced in quite a while. Also if possible see if comes in the original double box...if not...not "new".
