I recently purchased one of these on Amart. Like new for $290.00, shipped by seller. Best darn achro I've ever seen for color correction. The accompanying Moon image, made at prime focus, has been twiddled for contrast, size, sharpness and cropped with no desaturization of color. Should I keep it?

Very impressive, Ron. I would.

Ron, I love mine and I'm keeping it in spite of having a Stellarvue 80mm triplet apo. My friend has a Stellarvue 80/9D, a doublet achromat with a longer F9.3 focal ratio. We compared my Aplanat in a head to head. The color correction, contrast, and sharpness of my Aplanat was darned close to his 80/9D, much closer than we expected giving the difference in focal ratios.
