What sort of resolution have people gotten when looking at Epslion Lyrea with
either 1633 or 1605-A

Mark: The double-double is within the capabilities of a good 60mm refractor. The Dawes limit is about 1.95 arc-seconds for a 60mm but the double-double are not equal magnitude pairs. I have owned a few of the Sears scopes you mention and if I remember correctly, it is possible. A hybrid diagonal with modern eyepieces makes it easier.

My favorite 60mm is an Asahi-Pentax and it definitely splits the double-double. It has a full sized drawtube so I was able to install a 1.25 inch visual back.
