Hi,
No I don't have on mine thank heaven!!!!
What I want to know is why are refractor owners so nervous that cleaning will introduce microscopic scratches when all posts seem to indicate that such scratches do not degrade the image at all? In that other fobidden forum (reflectors)I have read many a time that these small scratches in the mirror do zero to the image. So, Why all the fuss and why is it such a nightmare?

The dob aesthetic is "an optic that works."

The apo aesthetic is "precision optic." Everything is perfect and produced by a master.

You could, in fact, put a 15 or 25% (by diameter) black dot in the center of the objective and not materially harm the image.

Refractors also have to look good.

Incidentally I own two refractors and I would be mortified if they got scratched and I like them to look good. On the other hand, I have paint flakes coming off the rear casting of my C14 and I don't give a good g-d-d-mn. Fretting over your refractor is the same idea as a gorgeous woman worrying that she is "too fat."

See the attached pic. This is pretty..... Greg N

A scratch on an apo objective must be disclosed and will harm the resale value even if it doesn't harm the image.
